I just receive some awesome product shots from our friends over at The Classroom (website is currently under construction) in Houston TX. In this pic the model is sporting the Dark Stantons. The store should be open for business in the next couple weeks. We’re really excited to add them to our tight knit group of stockists. They’re great guys with a great concept, keep an eye on them.
Dark Stantons at 7 months -
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about how these Stantons break-in. I took some quick shots to show what contrast can be expected. These have been in my rotation with a few other pairs of jeans for about 7 months. I’d say I’ve worn them about 2-3 days a week. They’ve never been soaked or washed. The waistband has stretched about 1”
When you first start wearing the Dark Stantons they will be dark navy, but as they break-in the color changes. The navy becomes darker due to the black base of the fabric.
Since this is an overdyed fabric the yarn has not been fully saturated with dye so you’ll see the white from the core of the yarn popping out in the high stress areas.
When you wash this denim it will become more blue. You’ll see highs and lows in all the right areas and it will soften up. It’s an amazing denim that, just like all raw denim, gets better after each wear.
